My personal view of political issues.
My personal view of political issues.
It was a simple restaurant visit. I had just returned from Kinshasa, and my fridge was empty so I decided to head to a restaurant to have a dinner. An order of pepper steak and French fries followed with some ice cream for dessert would do. The lady brings the fork and knife wrapped in a tissue. A very normal approach when it comes to getting ready for the meal. I unwrap the utensils, to find out that the tissue used has the UN emblem on it. How nice, the UN is providing tissues to help wipe out the tears in the world. The issue to me is not how the tissues reached a restaurant, a commercial entity, as I consider the UN to be a commercial entity itself. In some African countries, everything is for sale, including humanitarian aid stocks. Whether it was food, medication, or other things that are clearly marked “NOT FOR SALE”, it is hard to convince the profiteers not to sell the items to people who don’t know how to read. Unfortunately, law enforcement institutes and government agencies who are supposed to be monitoring those issues are sometimes involved in these schemes. So what about the tissues? Are they marketing “give away items” to grow some publicity for the UN? Or are they for the use of the UN personnel? Or maybe they are indeed for wiping out tears? Although they are so harsh on the hands and I really doubt they could be used on human faces. Couldn’t the smart decision maker decide to buy local tissues instead and hence help the local economy? Or maybe invest the sum in facilitating a small workshop task hence providing food for a whole family and even a tribe? Or maybe help a small farmer? Or is it, we want you to fight, we want you to struggle, we want you to cry, so we can bring our tissues to scratch your faces and leave our UN “logo” so you would remember that we are always here for you?
I have no answer, do you?
The self proclaimed leader of the extremist mind-twisted terrorists (known as al-qaeda) Ousama Bin Laden, has shown his ignorant skills once again in a voice recorded message taking responsibility for the failed attempt to blow a plane heading to the US.
Regardless of the conspiracy theory, no man, in the right state of mind, would glorify such an action.
First, because the intent to kill civilians in such a despicable and sleazy way is not the way an honorable warrior would choose (By no means such terrorism is honorable, but Bin Laden thinks he is a warrior).
Second, he was about to blow a number of Muslims who were traveling on this plane, while he claims he is waging a war against the non-believers (this actually brings us to what al-qaeda believes, that they are the only believers and every other person is not). I don’t know how stupid someone would be to claim they are the chosen ones, although everyone else knows they are not!
And last but not least, how stupid is it to glorify a failing attempt? ”Hey world! Watch out! I am going to blow everyone with fire-crackers… oupps I failed!” Just plane (plain) stupid!
I have been told that hate is a strong word. Well what can I say? I hate Bin Laden with passion. I hated him long before 9/11 occurred although 9/11 enhanced strongly my feelings.
I hated Bin Laden since he started encouraging the killings of Muslim scholars who were exposing that his Wahhabi Interpretation is an extreme version that uses an Islamic camouflage to its satanic ways.
I hated Bin Laden when he was the “spoiled child” and the ally of western Intelligence agencies during the war against the ex-soviet union in Afghanistan.
I hated Bin Laden, when the Arab world was suffering from terrorism while some countries were offering a safe haven to the terrorist leaders on basis of fear for those leaders’ lives if they are handed back over to their countries of origin!
Now tell me, who will hate Bin Laden more? The ones who suffer from the spread of his ideology on a daily basis or war mongers whose only means of survival is the death of others? Do you have any thoughts?
Yes we found them! now we did! The Weapons of Mass Destruction we were looking for in Iraq are at last found! GW has at last proven his point. Dick the stick hitting the Bush policy succeeded.
We were right, Iraq was not only targeting the US. A point we have been trying to make to the whole world, the whole world who doubted our decision except of course our allies and our pets. Those weapons when spread they can endanger peaceful communities, as extremists may use them to disrupt the international peace we are spreading around the world. Those weapons strengthen the terrorists who are attacking our lifestyle and our freedom.
This same freedom that we use to support Democratic regimes around the world. The regimes who allow the same level of freedom we have back home. Governments in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel for example, our friends and allies. Egypt and Saudi Arabia whose our own Intelligence agencies report about their “docile” approach towards their opposing citizens. Israel who is the only state that is still occupying a land that is not theirs. The state that openly declares wanting to be a Jewish states hence iliminating all rights to non Jews.
Isn’t that the true democracy we are supporting? the democracy in its purest form, We decide and you follow. We vote because we do not give you the right to vote, then we decide, we execute and if you object you have the choice of becoming against the democracy, against freedom, or simply a terrorist.
Yes we have found the Weapons of Mass Destruction with a slight difference in the last word as they became Weapons of Mass Humiliation. The art of humiliatig a president in front of the masses through the eyes of reporters and cameras. Yes this weapon is Iraqi by choice, yet it does not explode, it does not kill, it just sends a message. A message of honor to its sender and a message of humiliation to the receiver. A message summarized with a shoe.
An Iraqi reporter throws his shoes at the US president and two days ago a British follows suit throwing his own shoe at the Chinese president. Didn’t we say that these weapons are dangerous? Didn’t we warn you that Saddam will spread his terror? Even after we killed him the weapons are still used. They are even brought into the most protected places under the vigilant electronic eyes of screening machines. No wonder we take our shoes off at airports for security checks! Apparently we knew what those weapons were. Let’s vote to ban these weapons, let’s ban the shoes … Oh wait we can’t vote for that, this is the jungle where savages only get to decide in the name of democracy.
